1. There’s a lot of different methods and techniques to spinnin records. Whats your style?
My style is unique because I am a versatile DJ.I DJ to all. Milwaukee always been diverse when it came down to the music especially in the nite life so I had to adapt to the music people wanted to hear. Not everyone likes Top 40 and not everyone likes Hip Hop but it took me awhile to learn different crowds.
2. How did you first get into DJ’ing?
Well it’s in my blood. As a young boy I was always surrounded by different DJ’s and two of them were my cousins at the time. Going into the studio at 5 years old and watching them scratch to “Planet Rock” by Afrika Bambaataa was amazing and I would get goosebumps just listening to them. Music always been a part of my life and Dj’ing gave me the ability to express it. It took me about 15 years since then to actually get on some decks but it all came natural to me.
3. What was the first set of tables you owned/spun on?
My first pair of decks were some Technic 1200′s
4. Is there a most memorable party/event you rocked?
I’ve been to city to city but there is no comparison to the night I got to tag team along with Nano 2 Hype and DJ Dago. Nothing is better than rocking out with your own family.
5. What’s the current equipment you’re using?
Apple MacBook Pro, Technic 1200, Serato Scratch Live, Shure M44-7 Needles, Sony MDR-V700DJ Headphones
6. Some of your favorite places to spin?
Minneapolis and Chicago but Milwaukee has a good scenery too..I would have to say MOCT, Starbar and Suite
7. Do you prefer to play house parties or clubs?
Clubs hands down.
8. How long have you been DJ’ing?
Going on 2 years and still pushin’
9. What skills does it take to be a DJ?
You got to know the music and the crowd your working with. Moving crowds is something that can’t be taught. You learn by experience. A close friend of mine once said “The crowd are like my kids, I know what to feed them”. It’s something you need to learn on your own.
10. What’s the toughest skill for a DJ to learn in your opinion?
Scratching. It takes time and practice. Scratching is what sets you apart from the rest of the DJ’s that only know how to blend and mix tracks.

11. How do you keep the crowd moving throughout the night?
Simple. I like to start off the nite with music people can socialize and get their drink on. Towards the middle of the nite I like to start getting people on the dancefloor. At the end of the nite, I just throw all the Top radio hits to get the people hype and when that happens they don’t leave the club. haha.
12. Do you have a specific failproof song you use to get everybody on the dancefloor?
Sad but Cupid Shuffle seems to work at times.
13. What’s been your best moment as a DJ to this point? Worst moment?
The best moment would have to be when I got booked to play in Minneapolis and I got to play on stage with Superstar DJ Sanouk in front of hundreds of people. We felt like Bad Boy Bill because everyones attention was on us like a concert. The worst would have to be when I got fired from a venue because of the bad equipment I was using at the time. I learned from that and now I’m ok with all the new toys that I bought.
14. Some of the most influential DJ’s to you?
Wow. Where can I start. First off Nano 2 Hype and Mixmaster DJ lex Loco who are my cousins and been doing this for over 20 years. The originals of the B96 crew:Bad Boy Bill, Julian”Jumpin’”Perez, Tim “Spinnin’” Schommer, Bobby D,Brian “Hitmix” Middleton, DJ Bam Bam, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Am, DJ Qbert, DJ Flipside, DJ Godfather, DJ FunkÉI have too many to name but each individual has their own unique style and all of those styles influenced me to become a DJ.
15. Any local DJ’s you would rate?
DJ ShortRound and No Request Sound seem to stick to the old style of play with some new flavor as well. I think they are the best in town.
16. Are you interested in mixtape/mashups with local artists?
Indeed. We just need to be on the same page with the same vision.
17. Do you have any mixtape/mashups with local artists?
