1. There’s A Lot Of Different Methods And Techniques To Spinnin Records. Whats Your Style?
In All Honesty I Do This Thing, It’s Kind Of Like A Jedi Mind Trick…Where I Generalize The Crowd, And Sample A Few Tracks And Calculate The Crowds Personality/Feedback, Vibe, Etc… And Then Rush Them With A Ton Of Bangers That They Can Relate To, And Recall To Build Energy. This Skill Came To Me With Trial And Error, The Ability To Connect With A Crowd Is What Sets me Apart, Its A One Night Stand Pretty Much…But None The Less Its A Relationship.
2. How Did You First Get Into DJ’ing?
Well It All Started When I Was 10 (Weird Right) But My Mom She Used To Have Get Togethers…The Music Was Always Awful, And That Bothered Me Since Music Was A Virtue To Me…So I Picked Up This Old Outdated Thick Laptop And Started Off With A Pirated DJ Program…I Started Playing For The Older Crowd So I Developed My Influence From Their Taste, But Being As Young As I Am I Already Had The Advantage Of Being One Step Ahead With My Younger Crowd And Age Group…I Took It Lightly At First, But The Year After Something Clicked…I Loved The Feeling Of Being In Control, The Feeling Of Sharing Emotions With A Crowd Expressed Through Music…It Brings Out The Human Essence In Us All.
3. What Was The First Set Of Tables You Owned/Spun On?
During This Journey I’ve Actually Seen Many Methods Of Music Being Played, From DJ’s With Just A Laptop And A Boom Box, To DJ’s With Controlers…Down To Synthesizers…But Really My First Pair Were Some NDX 400′s And They’ve Never Left My Side.
4. Is Their A Most Memorable Party/Event You Rocked?
I Remember All My Events As If They Were Yesterday But THE One That Stands Out To Me Is Actually This Past Year At Summerfest When The Crowd Was Exiting Their Was A Crowd Of Over 200 People…So I Took Advantage And Whipped Out My Laptop Connected To A Power Inverter, And The Cars Sound System… Went Out Of The Sunroof And Turned The Parking Lot Into A Dancefloor. It Was EPIC.

5. Whats The Current Equipment Your Using?
Well Currently I’m Using My Lovely Pair Of Numark NDX-400′s, A Gemini PS-626 Mixer, A Compaq Presario C500, With An SL3 box. I Like To Keep It Simple, It Gets The Job Done.
6. Some Of Your Favorite Places To Spin?
The Key To DJ’ing Is Confidence, My Favorite Places Are Where I’m Comfortable, Give Me An Open Minded Crowd That Came To Dance, And Thats My Favorite Spot.
7. Do You prefer To Play House Parties Or Clubs?
Although I Haven’t Done One In Ages I Would Have To Say A House Party…I Like The Underground Rush And Unexpected Appeal That A House Party Crowd Brings, Where As In A Club It Would Be More Controlled And Calm…(Thats Not Where The Wild Things Are) And Also I Don’t Like Being On A Podium Or Stage, I Like To Feel Level With The Crowd…Its Easier To Establish A Deeper Connection With Them. But I Can Also Rock With A Club Crowd As Long As They’re Flexible With The Rules, It’s All About Freedom, Without It There Is No Party.
8. How Long Have You Been DJ’ing?
Well It’s About To Be 8 Years In April, Been Here For A Bit But I’ve Been Here Long Enough To Know What This Game And Lifestyle Has Been Missing.
9. What Skills Does It Take To Be A DJ?
It’s Not For Everybody I’ll Tell You That Much, I’m pretty
Sure Other DJ’s Will Tell You What I’m About To Tell You…Even If You Don’t Know How To Scratch…Or You Can’t Mix, Beatmatch, Sample, Or Loop…You HAVE To Know How To Read A Crowd, If You Can’t Build A Relationship With Your Audience Then Learn This Skill, You Can Have The Most Expensive Equipment But If You Don’t Know How To Read A Crowd Then All The Equipment Is Useless.
10. What’s The Toughest Skill For A DJ To Learn In Your Opinion?
Well Like I Said Before, There’s Actually More Than One. You Have To Know How To Read A Crowd And You HAVE To Have Excellent People Skills, Because If You Don’t Your Fucked, Thats Something That You Learn As You Grow Up…You Can’t Just Pick That Up Or Learn It In A Tutorial.
11. How Do You Keep The Crowd Moving Throughout The Night?
Pretty Much By Reading Their Body Language…Their Body Language Relates To What They’re Thinking. Their Body Lets Me Know What They Want Or What They’re Ready For, So Yes Advice To Future DJ’s, DJ’ing Ensues Watching Other Men’s Bodies Hahaha
(And Yes Woman Too).
12. Do You Have A Specific Failproof Song You Use To Get Everybody On The Dancefloor?
Actually Electro Always Does The Job, But It Can Vary Genres Depending On The Crowd…I Have A Couple.

13. Whats Been Your Best Moment As A DJ To This Point? Worst Moment?
My Best Moment Hands Down Was Spinning At Club Lazer In P.R, With The A Few Of The Top 40 Latin Artists And DJ’s It Was An Honor, There Were More Than 3,000 In Attendance The Vibe Was Amazing.
Now My Worst Moment? I Even Laugh At It Sometimes Spontaineously, Well In My Early Days I Got Hired To Dj In Some Local Mexican Sports Bar…The Pay Was Good So I Took It…But I Soon Realized That It Was No Joke…
“I Didn’t Know Mexican Gentlemen Took Their Music So Seriously” Hahaha Needless To Say I Had A Couple Of Corona’s Flinged At Me, And I Probably Still Have Lime Inprints On The Back Of My Neck…It Still Haunts Me Ti’ll This Day.
14. Some Of The Most Influental DJ’s To You?
Wow There’s A Lot But I’ll Name A Few…DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ AM, DJ Qbert, David Mancuso, Justice, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, DJ Krush, DJ Tony,Clinton Sparks, DJ Warner, Crookers, Armin Van Buuren, Guetta, Paul Van Dyke, Above And Beyond, Benny Benassi, Sasha, Axwell, Wolfgang Gartner, Stone Face & Terminal, Edward Maya, Laid Back Luke, Bob Sinclaire, Paul Okenfold, DJ Palestine, DJ Eleazar Maldonado, DJ Hotsauce, DJ O, DJ Motion, And DJ Evolution. 15. Any local DJ’s you would rate?
Honestly It’s All Mental…There’s No Limit To Where Knowledge Can Take You, Milwaukee Has Its Fair Share of Talented People, A Lot Of Them Just Aren’t Educated. Therefore They’re Mislead.
